Re: Aeropod in Velodrome
Even the device reset…it's not as you describe, I hold the button for 12-15seconds and all it does is flash the pairing light again, and then the red light, then the pairing light flash…is it reset, is it not? How do I tell?

3) TOO LATE, I saved a profile to it just a few minutes a go 6) That is the sample file that comes with Isaac 7) Oh my, so this 12 second press could in theory have happened in transit? Hmm, but probably not, since the AP was paired to my PT and when I turned it on at the venue it was on solid orang...

Re: Aeropod in Velodrome
Last one, when I click "setup device" (as I did prior to the session) I see this https://www.dropbox.com/s/rz5ulsx4hwsa4oe/Screenshot%202018-10-19%2020.20.50.png?dl=0 I named it (TT bike aero test) and yet that is not what is shown here. Is there some step saving the profile to the device ...

Re: Aeropod in Velodrome
I set it to profile 4 using Isaac. Is there anything that would make it unset itself? Another weird thing, the Chung method data, it's so different when re-broadcast through the aeropod. When it is powertap->garmin my analysis brings out numbers I'd expect (roughly) but when it is powertap->aeropod-...

Re: Aeropod in Velodrome
Well I'm at the velodrome and I have feedback 1. Nope. Non of the lights can be seen outside (ESPECIALL UNDER THE BASEBAR!!) 2. Nope, even when I risk life and limb to peer at the lights, it does not behave as descibed. I just got solid orange, all the time 3. Nope. The watts very quickly climb to 5...

Re: Aeropod in Velodrome
OK, WRT outdoor velodrome O&B calibration and safety etc, I'd like to spend the minimum time riding the wrong way around the track. It's a private booking, but even though, staff may get antsy. So, from reading the instructions, is the OUT portion longer, or the BACK? And in the aeropod instruct...

Turning it oFF?
Sorry if this is a dumb question. I have actually read the manual, and the CdA manual, and the tips and troubleshooting manual, but I either missed, or it is not included how to turn the aeropod OFF?

I was about to say, but see it has been posted above, another user I know has drilled out the TT bar mount slot a little to work with his aerobars.

Re: Aeropod in Velodrome
Sorry to hop into this thread, similar question, may as well group them. For an OUTDOOR velodrome, where I've booked out the whole track, and there is some wind, is it best to do the calibration protocol with the turnaround?
Many thanks in advance

Re: First impressions
Are you in the UK?
While I think notio konect's road show based release might be overkill, I personally would love a little experts hands on training for using this device, or at least a decent length video instruction.

Re: TT bike mounting
This will not work. 1) Aerobars flex; this causes severe problems with CdA measurements. 2) You AP is pointed too high. This too will cause problems. The flat surface on the AP allows AP to be mounted at a consistent angle. It is intentional that AP has limited rotational capability. I think you ha...

Re: TT bike mounting
Thanks. I didn't realise that a flexible mount/aerobars were an issue. I'll have a look again at your support team's suggestions, as well as some custom stuff. We have a great carbon fibre studio (Carbon Wasp) where I live, and he might have a good idea for me.

Re: TT bike mounting
Genuinely confused here John, your support people did not have an answer, so much as a link to the gopro mounts grab bag. So, back to my question: Is there any reason _not_ to use a garmin mount on the ski extensions for the aeropod? Is flex/wobble going to be an issue and effect the accuracy too mu...

TT bike mounting
Hi, I bought the TT bar mounting kit with aeropod, didn't realise it required very specific TT base bars. I was assuming it was an 22mm aero extension mounting kit. I have a trek speed concept, so nowhere with holes for that mounting kit. I'm a little annoyed by this, and if I wasn't in the UK, I'd ...

Re: Speed Sensor vs GPS
Interesting. I'll be honest, I'm a little annoyed about that. The powertap has perfectly usable speed data. The problem for me here is that I'll be testing my race bike, and therefore my race wheel, and I don't want to glue a magnet to a beautiful thing like my HED Jet+ Black disc. That would be wro...

Another question? Will there be the additional expense of the software upgrade key for the Isaac Wind Tunnel feature, or will that be bundled with the aeropod?

Re: Ready to buy and use for real world testing?
Thanks for taking the time to post a detailed reply. It's that final point, the need for protocols/instructions that is dampening my enthusiasm at the moment. When might there be some instructions available that the non-expert aero tester can follow? I have access to an outdoor velodrome, and could ...
