Thanks John.

Re: Power but no ride file

I held the power button down for 12s, I think this is the hard re-set procedure?

No new files appeared for download.

Re: Power but no ride file

Thanks John, the Isacc window reports 11% of device memory used. So it looks like the hard re-set is required.

Power but no ride file

Hi John, Another weird one I'm afraid. Racing with the PP at the weekend, involved in a number of events including hillclimb, TT and road racing. This involved a fair bit of bike and wheel switching. For all rides the PP gave power readings to my Garmin, sometimes based on the wrong profile due to m...

Re: Struggling with the PowerPod

Thanks spanglesaregreat, constructive post. Glad to hear someone else in the country has one! I didn't know you could turn it off that way, noted. I have found that situations where the front wheel kicks up a lot of water, either in heavy rain or fast descending on wet roads will almost always block...

Re: Struggling with the PowerPod

Really?? I think overall I have been pretty fair. The PP has strengths and weaknesses. As a business you want to emphasise the strengths, I get that. But I think you also need to acknowledge a weakness. I'm not sending mine back (close run thing) I might even buy the Aeropod. But it has been a frust...

Re: Struggling with the PowerPod

@theshovel, yup thanks I learned this the hard way and I have moved the PP away from the centre. But I am still getting issues with water /road debris blocking the port.

My annoyance is that there was no indication of this problem in the setup instructions or advice.

Re: PP In Calibration Mode When it Shouldn't Be?

Hi John,

Yes I think you are right. So something not quite right at the end of the cal ride. After it got to 100 normal power numbers appeared and I just rode. Should I have done something different?

Re: PP In Calibration Mode When it Shouldn't Be?

Hi John, Before I read your reply I used Isacc to force the PP to use the Road Bike profile which worked. And this morning it switched as expected to the TT bike profile when connecting. When forcing it to the Road bike, the dialog showed it was set to profile "3: Unsaved Type (Initial Setup)&q...

PP In Calibration Mode When it Shouldn't Be?

OK so, sequence of events and results, firmware 6.41: 1. Two bikes already calibrated, TT and Road 2. Re-calibration for TT as it has shiny new wheels :) 3. Use Isacc to put PP into calibration mode 4. When starting the ride the PP didn't want to calibrate so I remembered that in this firmware if yo...

Re: Struggling with the PowerPod

Hey, Basically the conclusion I have come to is that I can use the PP as a reliable indicator of power when using my TT bike in dry conditions. With a bit of additional effort and on the appropriate type of ride, also in dry conditions, I can also get a fair indication of power on my road bike now I...

Re: Struggling with the PowerPod

Thanks darthmonkey, I think I have come to the same conclusion. @John, when you say edit spikes out of your ride do you mean remove sections of the ride or is there a way to adjust cda / power just for a section? I also see that there is a repair for blocked windport function but even after reading ...

Re: Struggling with the PowerPod

Thanks John, I appreciate the reply. Speaking for myself.. I want accuracy during the ride. When the power readings went out the first time I did stop and blew hard into the port which cleared it, on the second time I just swore and turned the readings off from the head unit. Basically I look down a...

Struggling with the PowerPod

Hi, I'm sorry to say that I am starting to feel that this is not the power meter I should have bought. I'm sorry if this sounds negative but it's an accurate picture of my experience so far. If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to improve my experience I would be grateful. I purchased the ...

Re: Correcting Profiles after Ride

It was the profile I created just before the calibration ride for the TT bike. It was the second profile I created. Examining it I note that it does not have the note text "Isaac setup + cal ride completed" and n the advanced tab the Tilt Cal is 'empty'. Not sure if that helps. I have extr...

Correcting Profiles after Ride

Hi John, I wanted to adjust the weight used for one of my rides. I amended the profiles and the weight change saved. I then used the 'Switch Profile After-the-Fact" feature to apply it to a recent ride. At this point I noticed that the reported "Original Aero" profile did not match th...

Multiple Profiles - Same Bike?

Hi, So I've now got PP set up on two bikes, Road and TT and so far so good! I am finding on some rides on the road bike I am riding primarily in the drops (or at least 50/50), depends on the workout type, and I am also considering using clip on TT bars on my road bike for a particularly hilly TT com...

First TT with PowerPod

Hi, Please bear with me whilst I get used to / build confidence in the PP data. I did my first club TT last night (file attached). It is an out and back 10m course, dry, stable conditions and no drafting (I wish). The 'Check calibration' feature indicates a noticeable change. Can you check the file ...

Wet - Blocked Wind Sensor - Suggestions?

Hi There, I got drenched yesterday, it happens in this part of the world! Anyway I noticed the watts were funny and then realised that my central stem mounted powerpod position was resulting in a steady stream of water from the front wheel being directed straight at the pod windport. I realise that ...

TT Bike Calibration

Hi, Just finished a calibration and a quick out and back ride on the TT bike after getting a second speed sensor. The out and back ride is attached. Oddly no 'cal' file was recorded.
