John-
The profile won't load. It errors out and says -3.129 friction value is no good.

Re: Calibration still off
Almost forgot, one more question:
I have the pitot tube- what are the ramifications of removing that? does it affect the PP? Can I add and remove it at will without affecting the PP?

Calibration still off
Hi John, I originally did a cal ride last year, then had you review and you tweaked it for me around sept. This April I updated the config with new accurate weights of me and my gear but I've been noticing that my power is being reported about 50 watts higher than it should be. The windier and more ...

Re: ride check please
Thanks John. Those settings came from a cal ride I did in mid August. Why would it be so off after a cal ride?
Thanks for tweaking.

Re: ride check please
Hi John, Thanks for looking. You actually identified the exact time period I had a question about because at slightly over 36 miles I took a turn on the front for the next 2 miles or so and I was almost directly in the wind the whole time yet it appears as no to little headwind?? it was blowing pret...

Re: PPv3 how to turn on now?
Yep, it was easy. It was the 'ol button misalignment thing. I had sent this PP back to Tom before and he fixed my button and I assumed that was a one and done fix but somehow it happened again. He sent a video showing how to take the PP apart and fix it. Took me about 4 minutes. All set. Thanks once...

PPv3 how to turn on now?
Yesterday, 3 hours before my ride, I hook up my PP to charge and download rides and it eventually says there's a FW update available. I do that and it successfully installs. I unplug, put my bike in the truck and head out. I get to the ride and PP won't turn on. Pressing and holding for up to a coun...

Re: PPv3; Pitot tube breaks question
Sorry, I have a third, unrelated question: If I change my handle bars or whatever, and remove the PP (noting the angle with a bubble level app) and re-attach the PP, what happens/does it matter if the angle is different by a degree or 2- or any for that matter. My thinking is the newer calibration a...

PPv3; Pitot tube breaks question
Hi John, Here's my question: What, if anything, would you expect to see happen to power readings after the Pitot tube is broken off and a few rides occur with the threaded base of the tube still screwed into the PP? (the PP and its angle did not change) Side question: Am I right to want to keep a Pi...

Fat Bike check please
John- Could you please take a look at this ride. This is my fat bike (2 hour race) I have been trying to get this setup on the fat bike for a couple months and had started by using some Crr figures found throughout this forum but whenever I did that, this PP would go into an infinite loop when tryin...

Re: PP BLE and the front mount
FYI, The resolution on this has been: Tom mailed me a new bottom piece which had no effect. It was maybe a tad tighter, but the BLE had an easy approx 4 degree swing back and forth. I had said it did not do this in my 2018 front mount but I had had this ble unit in there for about a year and actuall...

PP BLE and the front mount
Hi John, I just got my front mount from you that I ordered the other day. I put it on my new mountain bike and then took my PP off my road bike (handle bar mount) and put it on this new mount. The issue is that no matter how tight I tighten, and whether from left or right, the PP is able to move/til...

Re: PowerPod V3 transmits slope and wind too!
Please excuse what is likely a dumb question but isn't slope the same thing as incline or whatever my Garmin calls it and displays? In other words, for me with a modern garmin that has a barometric sensor for altitude, the slope ability of V3 is redundant, no? Can a V3 be upgraded via software to di...

discrepancy in data view of Isaac
Hi,
I was looking at last nights ride in Isaac and noticed this weirdness:
The peak in this photo had the power at 800 something...notice what it says about the where the line is at in this pic...1358 power yet the graph above
never even crosses the 1200w line.
What gives?

Re: PP battery died- question
Spot On!
I went for a ride this morning with the PP fully charged and sure enough, no power meter connected. WTH!?!
I rescanned and connected it with my Garmin and had no issues for 54 miles.
So, yea, flaky Garmin issue. Thanks!

PP battery died- question
Hi John, I did a 2 hour group ride on Tuesday, then left my bike in my car till today when I got a chance for another ride. PP was fully charged 3 days earlier than the group ride- after last Saturdays ride. Today once I got going, I noticed no power so I thought I forgot to turn it on. I did so and...
