Powerod not connecting to Isaac

Hi John, My powerpod has never had a poblem giving me a connection green light on my laptop until today. It still gives a flashing red charging light when connected and has no apparent problem in getting fully charged. Thinking that it might have frozen I did a factory reset an took it for a calibra...

Re: Red flashing light and weird data

Is the PP supposed to halt itself at 50 as it used to do? I have done a calibration several times under the new system and the unit continues to run on past 50. That is why I assumed that there was no need for a stop. However I did stop just in case.and let the reading stop that way.
Cheers,
Ian

Re: Red flashing light and weird data

Thanks John. Already done. All looks ok. But the calibration raises a couple of questions. When I last calibrated it was 5 minutes out and back and the PP halted at 50. I assume it is now: (A) still out and back (B) turn but not halt at 50 Is that correct? The other new thing for me is the ability t...

Re: Red flashing light and weird data

Yes the battery was recently replaced and I received it on the 29th October.
All I can find on the Garmin is a screen that says "about"and it just says 'battery status new". I can't seem to navigate through that screen and or past it. Am I missing something?
Cheers

Red flashing light and weird data

Hi John, I went for a ride today (ride file attached) for a km each way from my home just to see what sort of figures the PP was giving me. All seemed o.k. until about 100 meters from the end the red light started to flash and I got zero watts on my Garrmin. I have had a new battery in the unit for ...

Battery care for Powerpod

Tom has just replaced a battery for me with his usual brisk efficiency. Which made me think. Do I have to take any special steps to prolong battery life? Such as for older generation batteries let the charge run fully down and vary the amount of charge it needs. At the moment i leave the Powerpod on...

Powerpod unresponsive

As a result of injuries sustained in an collision I have not used my Powerpod for 18 months. When I began to use it again last week it did not seem to hold its first charge but I put this down to the fact that the connection can be a little touchy and that it had not been securely connected. It char...

Re: Temperature readings way off in Powerpod

Thanks John. I enclose a ride file which has a temperature of 10 degrees C on it according to Issaac. It was closer to 30 at the time. Are you up early? Because by my calculations it is now 430 a.m your time and your post was even earlier.
Cheers,
Ian

Temperature readings way off in Powerpod

Hi, Assuming the Powerpod records ambient temperature then my unit is inconsistently inaccurate. In the last few days for example it read 2 degrees C on a 13 degree morning and in the afternoon it tracked my Garmin closely ( and correctly I believe) and two days later started at the correct figure b...

Re: Newbie calibration qustions

Please ignore the question about the two files looking identical. I think I must have opened the same file twice

Newbie calibration qustions

I did two out and back calibration rides today. The first was a disaster after apparently going well and getting to 100 w and displaying actual power for a short time the Powerpod kept cycling back to calibration mode and beginning at 50 w. I limped home with the device flashing red but showing powe...
