Re: Strava and PowerPod
John Hamann, CEO of Velocomp, says “PowerPod BLE/ANT+ maintains the accuracy, simplicity, portability and affordability of the original PowerPod power meter. And now, if you have a BLE-enabled iOS or Android smartphone, or BLE fitness wearable, you’ll be able to use power data on your device, using ...

Re: Strava and PowerPod
Hi, I dont have a way how to test it as I have only the ANT+ version of the PowerPod, but I think it will work - Strava on your phone will work as a head unit instead of garmin etc.. So you can use, strava, wahoo fitness, ismoothrun app on the iphone and PP will just connects there via bluetooth.

Re: MTB settings for powerpod
If anyone will read it later or for a future reference - I will change the Crr value in the profile for 0,007, which gave it Riding tilt of -0,7 % and Friction of 11,276.
I will give it a try, but seems more precise than the previous Crr of 0,0170.

Re: MTB settings for powerpod
And yes, that part with a lot of braking etc. Is that I was just playing around, doing some wheelies and Sagan stuff
so I think it is because of that. PP is tight as possible as on the photo below:-))

Re: MTB settings for powerpod
So you mean I should not change the Crr for 0,006 and keep it like it is?

Re: MTB settings for powerpod
Ok, I think it will be the CRR - rolling resistance setup. Original crr setup was = 0,01701. And what I have find on the internets should be for my tire = 0.00624. When I tried to put this into the Tweak CdA, Crr & Cm in Isaac, then it gave me more reasonable Avrg. watts.. but I dont know, I am ...

Re: MTB settings for powerpod
Hi John, finally we had some decent weather to repeat the calride. I did as you suggested, it was not so windy and I did go faster than last time. However after it calibrated itself, I still think that the wattage numbers were too high as I know how should my HR and feeling be when I pedal 250w or 3...

Re: MTB settings for powerpod
Hi John, Thank you for your answer, yes indeed it was (again) very windy outside. I thought it might be problematic, but I tried it anyway with the cal ride. Ok, I will do another calride soon and hopefully will be better. I will post it soon. Should I change something in the profile setup ( wheels,...

Re: MTB settings for powerpod
Or.. in best case, I would like to learn the Isaac magic you are doing, too. Is there any way I can learn more about all the things you are checking? So I can also review my rides alone and not steal your time for that. Would be great to learn. Let me know, thanks John.

MTB settings for powerpod
Hi there:) So far I tried few rides with the Powerpod on the roadbike and it seems pretty fine so far (thank you for checking the calibration). Now I finally received the sensors for the MTB (speed & cadence) and I tried to set up the new profile for the mountain bike. I was a little tricky as t...
Re: iOS app?
Hi John, any news about the mystery news you mentioned above? I wanted to ask about an iOs app too, but I have only the Ant+ version of the powerpod. Would be cool to have Isaac app on the iPad.

Re: Help calibration after Update PP
Yes indeed, starting km 50 or so it started to be really crazy:-) Thanks for the quick analysis, it felt as a hard ride, but still I was not sure that the watts shall be so high.
Thanks, Petr
Thanks, Petr

Re: Help calibration after Update PP
Hi John, so I tried to do a first longer ride with PowerPod in a windy weather and i was quite surprised that the wattage is pretty high... I would say at least.. avrg. 196 and Normalized some 245. Can you please be so kind and check if there is everything fine with my setup after the O&B ride, ...

Re: Recommended sensors - speed & cadence
Hi, glad to hear that, so I will continue to use it and be happy. I just wanted to share with others, maybe somebody will use it. I will inform later about the magnetless sensor for MTB. Cheers

Recommended sensors - speed & cadence
Hi, I tried to find it in previous topics, but I could not find anything. Do you have somewhere any recommended sensors, which are the best with PowerPod? I thought that it doesnt matter and anything will work ok, but then I saw that Garmin GSC-10 sensor is not working perfectly.. so I just want to ...

Re: Help calibration after Update PP
Hi, I am new to PowerPod, just recently started to use, did the calibration ride and now updated the firmware and did the O&B ride. I have two questions: 1. Can you please check if there is everything ok in my setup? The file with the O&B calibration ride are attached.. 2. I tried to put the...
