Re: How much lag in displayed power from Quarq CinQo?

Remember, Boyd still has a Beta, and the 'sticking' points could be due to the bushings. I had the same crank Boyd is using now, and there were times when road grime and sugar from bottles gummed things up a bit. Call Quarq if you have any questions and send them the file(s).

Re: Erroneous power readings on Ibike

I think you'll want to do another Profile, instead of just loading the old profile in there. I know it gets tedious, but I think I've got unique profiles for every one of the units I either own or use, and the sensors are just, well, so sensitive, that this is probably your best bet for accuracy. Tr...

Re: getting annoyed!

SkittKit, I personally took a freakin' holiday about two weeks ago and dragged John with me. We both got some serious sun and purposely took our time responding to calls. Now I've been pulled off of tech support to work on a special project. John is now manning the ship himself, completely, and unti...

Re: Do I need to redo my cds and 4-miles ride?

IMO, if you have to physically move the mount, you need to redo your tilt, wind, and do some CD's and an o & b. It's just the best option for solid data.

Re: FYI Wireless Head Battery

More push in the technology means more voltage needed to run the machine. The 705's are heavier for a reason... Lots of reasons, actually, but batteries are part of that.

It's part of the plastic molding process. You get a little dimple of plastic when you pull out the mold. It is what it is.

Suunto's owned by the parent company of Adidas and Mavic, I'm almost certain. The QR speed sensor is probably some form of ANT technology for both the Suunto and the Mavic.

Re: Cannot Pair with Garmin Strap

I've seen this happen a lot, and it's still a mystery to me. The best thing is to call John during the week and walk through it. Once you get the signal, however, stop, go in to the software, go to profiles, edit profiles, advanced, and then click 'get from ibike' to get the 5-digit signals. Write t...

Re: Compatible Trainers Update

That's something we can't control for. However, I think most experts agree that it's not much more than 3% variation in the big scheme of things. The most stable resistors are the magnetic ones, and the Kinetic for fluid, or the 1UP for light weight and portability. Even though I use CompuTrainers d...

Re: Cannot Pair with Garmin Strap

The reason is because their product is heavier than granite (proverbially speaking), and has mondo processing power, and it absolutely eats batteries. In our quest for small, light, and inexpensive, we had to be more creative. Also, there's a Microsoft Effect as well. If you own the code, you get to...

Yeah, it's old. The video, that is.

I'm old, too. OldER, that is.

Tilt and wind before every ride. Sort of like Hail Mary's and rubbing that prayer thing on the door paneling at your Jewish friends' house. Make it a ritual.

Garmin has their own setup with Ant plus, and our straps are compatible with 305/705 and some of their wrist straps.

We won't be polar compatible unless they change their signals to ant plus sport.

I didn't see these answered on the ibike website, or in this forum. Is the iBike Aero available with Heart rate? wireless cadence? Is the iBike Aero compatible with trainers? Or is that firmware only for the original iBike? Thanks, YES - the ibike Aero works with the standard wireless base, which i...
