Re: Newbie stupid question no doubt!

I've since been through the newton software, changed it to an out in front setup and rough-ish roads, no idea if thats the correct thing to do?
It does seem different though and reacts closer to the power I feel i'm putting into the bike.

Re: Newbie stupid question no doubt!

Well, I know its not a dead flat area, but around 12 minutes in, slight down, then it flattens out then slight up. On the slight down, to flat, to up I really put the power on to see what it would read and managed to just get things up to around 230w before the slight up.It just seemed quite strange...

Re: Newbie stupid question no doubt!

I do understand this but, if you are riding on the flat with a headwind in a high gear, putting loads of pressure on the pedals, surely I should be able to crank out more than a couple of hundred watts? Compared to spinning up a hill in a high gear without much effort and kicking out in the 4-500w's...

Newbie stupid question no doubt!

I've had the Powerpod about a week now, never trained with power before, so here comes the question... What power am i looking at, the power thats laid down from the wheels to the tarmac, or the power i'm having to put in to the pedals? I assume its power laid down on the road? If so, then I now und...

Re: Cycling Dynamics

Well I received my PP today, put it on the bike, paired everything up and went for a setup ride. All seemed good although its strange with the delay between putting the power down and it displaying on the screen. Whats the default delay? Can it be more "live"? It already improved my normal...

Re: Cycling Dynamics

Really disappointed with the price point in the UK. I can't find it anywhere here for less than $400 compared to the US $299 (£225) :o Thats a massive hike in price! Who are the UK suppliers that you know of, ProBikeKit I know sell them for $400 ish (£299), are there any others or is that the price ...

Re: Cycling Dynamics

Completely understand that the others don't supply this either. So we won't see left and right power displayed on our garmin units while riding, only when going back and doing analysis in the software? maxresdefault.jpg I know we wouldn't get the platform bits as thats for the Garmin own power pedal...

Re: Cycling Dynamics

Didn't mean to offend ;o)) thanks for the info. I've read a bit on dc rainmaker who says that it won't transmit left and right power (is that still a garmin limitation, something to do with private Ant+)? He also says about it not working on cobbles, i have some pretty rough roads i ride on, is it a...

Cycling Dynamics

Hi, i've been looking at getting a power meter of some kind, this is obviously the cheapest way into it (apart from buying second hand). My question is: I have a Garmin Edge 520 which has an option to show cycling dynamics. 1) Is the Edge 520 compatible with the Powerpod 2) What can I expect to see ...
