Re: Check O&B calibration ride with PowerStroke please?

The shoe cadence sensor is just the regular cadence sensor mounted on the shoe... It's not a different product if that's what you're thinking? Are you familiar with the regular Wahoo cadence sensor?

Re: Check O&B calibration ride with PowerStroke please?

OK, posting the next ride. This is "all change" because I have bought Wahoo sensors now (and the cadence sensor is attached to the strap on my shoe so fewer obstructions) plus on a different (but very similar) bike. How does this ride file look? Also, my PowerStroke animation look unnervin...

Re: Check O&B calibration ride with PowerStroke please?

My cycling has taken a back seat this year so I have barely looked at my PowerPod stuff and I don't think my cadence meter was paired for a while for some reason but I had this issue before, I posted about it a few times in the forum and it was never resolved. I tried to "reset" my old cad...

Re: Check O&B calibration ride with PowerStroke please?

1) Garmin magnetless (the latest type) 2) Not to my knowledge, and the 10km stretch where it lost the cadence is almost parallel (within a few km) to another part of the ride where the cadence wasn't lost. There *are* antennae later in the ride but there is no loss of cadence then. 3) Do I really ha...

Re: Check O&B calibration ride with PowerStroke please?

OK. Done an actual ride today, can you take a look at this please? I am perturbed that the cadence drop out issue I've had before still happens, this is a new cadence meter, with a new battery... There is no loss of cadence data in the other places I've got my ride uploaded to. Any comments on the c...

Thanks.

How do I check that setting after the initial setup of PowerStroke please? I am pretty sure I chose the first option but cannot remember which one that was!

Re: Check O&B calibration ride with PowerStroke please?

Isn't that the point though? I rode out until the power reading went to 50, turned round, and came back until it went to 100 and then thought that that was the O&B calibration process?? What was I meant to have done different? Also, what about the cadence meter position for PowerStroke purposes?...

Check O&B calibration ride with PowerStroke please?

Hi there guys, can you take a look at my calibration file and let me know if I've done it right?? Some bugger decided to pull out on me JUST as I was getting to halfway so was concerned I was drafting but it doesn't seem to have shown up. Thanks in advance. PS - I have just set up PowerStroke on the...

"New" (?) O&B calibration instructions

Hi there, with the new firmware upgrade (July 2018) are there revised O&B calibration ride instructions or do I need to pick the relevant bits (and adapt the bits that seem to be out of date) out of here: http://www.ibikesports.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/OBinstructions020217_red.pdf Can this...

Two profiles in Isaac for PP

OK - I know that Isaac is quite esoteric but at times it has me stumped. Can someone perhaps provide me with some easy steps on how to fix the following, assuming I'm not already misunderstanding it. So, I got the PP back from being fixed and essentially needed to put my profiles back on the thing, ...

Heart rate straps...

My Garmin HRM is showing its age (at least five years old) and more importantly my PP is getting dropouts from it despite new batteries. I had this with my cadence sensor and on replacing it that was fixed so am thinking it's time to do the same with the HRM. Question is: do I go Garmin again? Decat...

Re: New wheels - power increased (?)

OK will do. Just so I understand though, if "Check calibration" is suggesting a change that puts it into the red is that not a problem? Would you expect an out and back ride to be less extreme? Thanks for your help, these questions are only because I want to make sure I'm using it properly...

Re: New wheels - power increased (?)

OK thanks - but what do I need to do with the PP? Do I need to Check Calibration or do an out and back? Leave alone? The old wheels are shot (bearings anyway) so it's not surprising that the new ones are markedly less resistant... I could tell this just by simply riding and feeling it. ps - new batt...

Re: New wheels - power increased (?)

Ride files attached. The most recent one is from today (and if I do a "Check Calibration" it is suggesting a change hugely into the red, which is probably no surprise) and the older one is the last time I rode this route a couple of weeks ago. nb - this is not technically an "out and ...

New wheels - power increased (?)

My winter wheels have been getting increasingly "crunchy" in the hub bearing dept so I decided to build some new ones (I had replaced the bearings a couple of times before so thought drastic action was needed) and quite apart from immediately noticing anecdotally the difference in smoothne...

Re: "Check calibration" question with new cadence sensor

OK, now re-paired with cadence sensor and done a 30 mile out-and-back ride. It's now losing HR signal (although all there in Strava) for whatever reason. It just seems so random. Should I be concerned? Ride file is attached, the "Check calibration" thought I'd been drafting, I hadn't, and ...

Re: "Check calibration" question with new cadence sensor

OK thanks, so I won't bother with "Check Calibration" then? I will give the cadence sensor more time too. Can you just really quickly explain how one does re-pair with a new cadence sensor then? Do I switch on PP, wake up the sensor by pedalling (for a while as you say) then hold down the ...

"Check calibration" question with new cadence sensor

I've replaced my cadence sensor due to it being a bit dodgy (and PP kept reporting long zeros) and just done an out-and-back ride (attached) but found that PP knows nothing about my new cadence sensor despite me thinking I'd re-paired it. Two things then: 1) How do I re-pair PP with a new cadence se...

PowerPod with no cadence sensor?

Apologies for asking this (again?) but what would be the consequences of riding with PP without a cadence sensor? Would it still report power OK or is cadence necessary? My cadence sensor is at best intermittent and at worst now broken... I won't rush to replace it if it's not going to affect the PP...

PowerPod in winter conditions

Been using my PP since the summer and now it comes to the grimy British winter I am wondering if I need to take any particular precautions? The front of the PP is splattered with mud (despite me only riding on road but they are mostly country lanes) and that inlet is making me nervous that the inter...

Re: Profile numbers and second bikes etc

Data is recorded on Garmin Edge 100 which is then uploaded to Garmin Connect which in turn is synced to Strava automatically.

I've attached what it looks like in Garmin Connect...
