Re: Powerpod Under reading

I was not riding in the rain.

Wind port is clean and not blocked.

What do you suggest I change the wind scaling to?

Would that solve the problem that it records a tail wind the whole time?

Thanks for the fast feedback.

Powerpod Under reading

Hi there I seem to be having a problem with my Powerpod. I did an out & Back calibration last week and the wind scaling was set to 1.000 after the ride. On the ride my pp was severely under reading the wattage, and I only had a 62 w ave. I then took an old profile from last year and applied the ...

Re: Force PowerPod to start a new IBR file?

Hi John. Went out for my out and back ride today. Did 12 min out and back then stopped. I held the PP button in for 4 sec and green light flashed then went solid to show that it had paired. Continued ride. I did not reset the garmin as it shouldn't make a difference as it only receives data from PP ...

Re: Force PowerPod to start a new IBR file?

Would doing a pair on the same bike after an out and back create a new ibr file. Basically re-pairing it to the same sensors, or won't it re-pair cause they are already paired. This might be a work around, to end out and back ride and save ibr file. Then at least you don't have to wait for 20 min be...

Re: Calibration ride--need to do anything special?

I posted in another topic about time for out and back ride, but got answer here. Just a comment on previous posts, you mentioned the 1.500 wind scaling and don't know how it got there, mine is also set to 1.500 as default, PP on handlebar mount. I'll do a out and back and see what the difference is.

Re: Question Wind scaling values

Hi there guys Thanks for all the valuable info. My default profile has a wind scaling of 1.500. This is after calibration. I have not changed anything. I use the handlebar mount. I will leave it at that for the moment, but going to do an out and back ride to check. Question is, what distance is good...

Re: Excessive power measured on 1st ride after calibration

Just some feedback. After the ride last night I played with the settings a bit on Isaac and I must have reset the device. This afternoon on my ride it went into Cal mode again. So I did another calibration and then reset my garmin and did an hour ride. Power seemed fine. I checked the data afterward...

Excessive power measured on 1st ride after calibration

I did my calibration ride yesterday and after the calibration was complete the power seemed fine. Last night I had to move the PowerPod about 5mm left on my handle bar as one of my cables was catching on it. (Not blocking wind port though. Today I went for a ride and right off the mark I noticed som...
