Re: PowerPod and speed sensor problems with Garmin GSC-10 se

Found this post a day later than I needed it--ha! For me, my speed sensor hadn't been working for who knows how long--but my Garmin head unit had masked this fact as described above. Once I adjusted things so it worked again, I was able to get into calibration mode and get calibrated. Maybe consider...

Calibration ride--need to do anything special?

Do I need to do anything special during calibration (ride on flat ground, don't use brakes, etc)? Or can I just ride like normal, wherever I want?

Re: A couple of PowerPod Questions ( Dynamic Power Smoothing

To so I'm clear--if I've got DPS enabled, should I not have my Garmin set on Power/3s? Heck, I don't even know if my Garmin has a non-smoothed option. I would guess it does though...

I get why this could add a lot of delay... seems like you would only want one device doing the smoothing.

Ah--that makes sense!

So my speed sensor probably hasn't worked for a while. Ha! Learn something new every day.

How Waterproof/Resistant is the PowerPod?

I can't find any reference to how waterproof or water resistant my PowerPod is.

Can I ride with it in the rain? Should I cover up the USB port somehow if I do?

Re: New PowerPod -- won't blink yellow to calibrate

Problem solved, I think! I reset my speed sensor (took battery out and reversed it for 10s, then put it back in) and also adjusted the speed sensor pickup arm so it was closer to the magnet. Now I've got a blinking yellow light--just gotta get outside to do the calibration ride. So weird how the Gar...

Re: New PowerPod -- won't blink yellow to calibrate

Hi John, OK--I tried to do what you instructed below. Here's what happens: 1) Make sure your bike is in a location where there are no other bikes within 100 feet of yours. This way, you can be sure you are pairing to your own bike only. OK, I did this--I'm at the office with no other bikes nearby! 2...

Re: PowerPod set up/ config

Did you ever hear back about weather the USB port is waterproof? Inquiring minds want to know!

New PowerPod -- won't blink yellow to calibrate

Hi Folks, Just got my PowerPod and I'm trying to set it up. Worked like the instructions said (charged up, paired the speed sensor, paired the ANT+ power to my Garmin 500) but now I can't get it to calibrate. I can't get the light to blink yellow, it just stays solid yellow. Tried riding for more th...
