Re: Power increase in "out of the saddle" position

Here is in attachments, 2 examples of short rides. Each time i was "out of saddle" (Isaac software is very good and detect it) we see a peak of the power and it is clearly higher during the time i stay in this position, in comparison with the sitting position. Thanks in advance for you fee...

Power increase in "out of the saddle" position

Hello, I have the Ibike Newton power meter since 6 months and i'm very happy with it. However, i have noticed a "strange" power readings behavior when i'm in the "out of the saddle" position. For the same speed and pace, the Newton displays 50 Watts higher in average than the sit...

Re: Cal wind changed: need new cal ride?

I did what you said. A "Cal Wind" just before my ride. I let my Newton few minutes outside, in a non windy place with same conditions (temperature ect.) of the ride. And it worked well! The wind values seemed consistent during the ride. At the end, just after the ride, i have checked the &...

Re: Cal wind changed: need new cal ride?

I did what you said. Yesterday, i did a "Cal Wind" in my home (temperature around 20°C or more) without wind. After that it showed me around 0.0, that seemed perfect. Today, i started my Newton and the "Cal Wind" value was still to 0.0 before the ride. During my ride (outside tem...

Re: Cal wind changed: need new cal ride?

Ok.

I forgot to ask you. Does the "Cal Wind" the same for all profiles (one wind calibration for the unit, so common for all profiles) or unique per profile (one wind calibration for one profile)?

Re: Cal wind changed: need new cal ride?

Thanks a lot for your reactivity.

Nice! So I will do a new Cal Wind with my actual Cal ride.

Last question: The non windy place can be inside at home, or necessarily outside? I mean optimal prerequisites like location, temperature and the air pressure are required to keep the better accuracy?

Cal wind changed: need new cal ride?

Hello all, Today, i did a bad handling. When i was in the setup menu of my Newton, i made the mistake to press the "center button" while "Cal Wind" was selected. "Cal Wind" flashed on the Newton screen and i think a new Cal Wind was taken in account. I have 2 options i ...

Re: Calibration for indoor trainer

I did it. It seems to be good.

Last question. If the Newton position is not the same as the first one, a variation of the slope has no affect? Logically for indoor training, the slope, wind... take no part in the calculation. but just need your confirmation.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Zero or very low power during Downhills/descents

I have posted you all documents i could, my first ride, the ride cal (which seems to be perfect with the "Check calibration" in Isaac, see attachment) and the position of my Newton on the bike. Maybe all it's ok and the Newton behaviour and calculation are normal. I had just a doubt concer...

Calibration for indoor trainer

Hi all, I recently purchased the Newton 5+ and the Indoor feature with it. I have 2 bikes. One bike to ride outside and an other bike, always fixed to my trainer, to ride inside. I have 2 pairs of ANT+ sensors (cadence and speed sensors) for each bike respectivelly. Logically, I want to create 2 pro...

Zero or very low power during Downhills/descents

Hi, I recently purchased the Newton Ibike 5+. I did the first calibration (5min) and the 10min calibration ("Best accuracy" choice) with my profil configured in Isaac Software. All seem to be correctly done. I have a question after my fisrt ride with the Newton. The Watts display is good a...
