Re: iAero and Garmin Interop
So, to have the cleanest setup with the fewest sensors, I would need to use Garmin sensors for speed and cadence and have the Garmin and the iAero both paired with these. Is that correct? Out of curiosity, is this (Garmin not reading the iBike speed/cadence sensors) specific to speed and cadence? Th...

iAero and Garmin Interop
All, I currently own an iAero III and am considering the purchase of the Garmin Edge 705. I was curious about the following: For which of the following scenarios or use cases will I need the Garmin Firmware update: Transmitting Power from iAero (yes) Speed and Cadence on the Edge using iAero sensors...

How to switch ride data (post ride) to trainer
All, I am curious if there is a way to change the ride data from the profile used to the trainer. Prior to the ride, I made sure that I had selected the correct trainer > set this to iAero successfully, I verified that the Trainer mode was set to On > sent this to iAero successfully. I did my ride a...

Re: Crazy Power Reading
I am far from an expert at this, but you might try to verify your tilt settings: CHECKING THE ACCURACY OF YOUR TILT CALIBRATION Once your tilt calibration is complete you can check the accuracy of your calibration very simply. 1) Look at the slope number in the top of the main tilt screen. This is t...

iAero and Trainer mode
Does the iAero support the trainer mode as well? If it does and I purchased via the trade-in program, do I need to purchase the trainer firmware again or can I transfer to the iAero?
Thanks.

Re: Crazy Power Reading
Travis, I went back and performed a quick test on the tilt calibration, and as you had mentioned I believe the tilt was off (I had a reading of +2.1 in one direction and a reading of +0.1 after turning 180 degrees). I readjusted my bar extender, re-positioned my wireless mount, and then cranked ever...

Re: Crazy Power Reading
The cadence sensors are solid - cannot move them in current position (without providing significant force), so I guess it is possible that they are slipping but I would doubt it. So, let's go with the possibility that my calibration is off. I have saved and attached all the coast-downs and the 4-mil...

Re: Crazy Power Reading
I understand that if Cadence = 0, then Power = 0. That makes complete sense. What I do not understand though is if/how the cadence value factors into the power calculation for the times that Cadence is non-zero. So, I think that a couple of my original questions are still valid here: 1. Why would Po...

Re: Crazy Power Reading
Yep - Trainer mode was off.
I was bit by that once as well. Good idea, but does not fit this scenario.
thanks.

Crazy Power Reading
All, I have completed my Coast Downs and 4-mile ride, and while I am not excited about the derived values I do believe that they are probably fairly accurate (I guess it is really true that big old heavy guys have much poorer values for CdA and crr). ;) I went out for a ride today over lunch (not to...

Re: iBike Date/Time does not stick
I do not recall the behavior being any different. You say that the battery is getting low..... I have a total riding time on this battery that is only about 3.5 hours (on the trainer in trainer mode with avg sessions of around 45 minutes). How long should I expect to be able to ride on a single batt...

Re: iBike Date/Time does not stick
After submitting the previous post, I removed the iBike from my PC connection. I just reconnected and examined the date/time - back to July of 2007. Is it possible that an attempt to communicate wirelessly could reset the date/time. The only thing that seems consistent here is that after connecting ...

Re: iBike Date/Time does not stick
No - I have not been removing the battery. I have the time set correctly on my PC, and have used several set options for date/time from within the iBike 2 for Windows Software; one under Device > Set Date and Time and some other place that I cannot seem to recall. In fact, I just checked the unit ag...

iBike Date/Time does not stick
All,
I continually find that my iBike does not hold date and time settings. I have to update it prior to each use - otherwise it defaults back to July of 2007.
What's the trick to have the date/time set and then persist correctly?
