Pretty self explanatory actually.
The connector has been a bit loose for a long time but always connected.
Now I can't get it to connect and I tried multiple connection cables.
Any advice on how to proceed?

FW 5 updated and no longer auto-pausing
I recently updated my Newton to FW 5 and noticed a problem. On a number of recent trainer sessions I am noticing that the data continues to record when I pause. The donwloads to Isaac look great, I dont see the pauses there; nor do the pauses show up on Trainerroad where I am transmitting power data...

Re: GPX merge
All I am doing is merging correct GPS data into my file via Issac. I know the data is correct because I upload the original file first to check that the GPS track is right. The GPS coverage is also confirmed by Strava via complete GPS tracks from multiple others on group rides. The issue of the waho...

Re: GPX merge
GPS data is through iPhone and Strava app.
I have a Wahoo fitness ant+ dongle which is connecting to the Newton in ride.
I have my doubts about Strava's data, as I said originally, but Im more concerned with getting the GPS track right.

GPX merge
I am having an issue with GPX merge into my ride files. Strava does not seem to do power very well when you consider the post ride analysis adjustments Isaac does, so I always try to upload my corrected files. When I upload to Strava I almost always get large sections of the ride that are recorded a...

Sensor issues
I have found that my Newton requires me to run a scan at every ride and sometimes loses connection with the sensor in ride as well (fresh battery or not and same with a Garmin and a Wahoo sensor). Its a bit annoying and could live with it but for the fact that when racing the scan inevitably picks u...

Here are some quick pics of my stem and mount. Nothing out of the ordinary here; you can also see the rusted mount bolts. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tboshart/10443894993/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/tboshart/10443869703/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/tboshart/10443706016/ http://www.flickr.com/pho...

I keep breaking Newton mounts
I blamed myself for the first 2 I broke, that I made them too tight. They broke on the upper mount around the bolt holes. This third one though, not tight at all, broke at the bottom strap 6 o'clock position. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the plastic too brittle? Any DIY solutions? Im thinkin...

Battery is good.
Strap is good.
Sensor scan works.
HR reads on Newton as I ride.
How do I post a file?

Heart Rate Disappeared
Newton displays heart rate live but since April 6 it has not recorded my heart rate data.
Everything else works fine. I am up to date with Isaac and FW. I have not changed heart rate straps.
Any ideas?

Re: A major improvement: OS2 for Newton
I was able to replicate, and then cure, the issue I mentioned above where while on the trainer Newton switched over to a road ride while I was doing out of saddle sprint-type efforts. I did some sprints again last night and sure enough on the first sprint the Newton switched over to a road ride. I t...

Re: A major improvement: OS2 for Newton
Yesterday I also encountered the problem described above. I updated to firmware 2.12 but was unable to ride outside today...rain here in the Northeast pushed me to the basement. Interestingly I encountered an odd effect while on the trainer...perhaps it is attributable to the units greater sensitivi...

Re: Isaac usb connection failures
The problem is back again. After a few days of not working, it began working again, and now it is has failed yet again. I did full reinstall as well and it did not help. It then did a full install on a clean hard drive I just installed on my laptop and the same failure occurred. I have only 1 usb po...

Re: Isaac usb connection failures
Im not that well versed in the inner workings of things. I can run a system report and when I inspect the USB section there is nothing indicating the presence of the SI software. I do not, however, know if this is normal. I also tried the Newton on my daughters Mac and my wife's windows laptop and g...

Re: Isaac usb connection failures
This is getting crazy now. I did the full line by line removal and a full re-install. It worked perfectly. I took the Newton on a ride, re-attached it to the USB cable and the error is back. Is there a conflict with Golden Cheetah? I am running that as well but I never had a problem before. Also, th...

Recently I got the dreaded connection failure. I removed and reloaded everything and still the failure I loaded all software onto a different computer and the Newton connected. Then I attached the Newton to the original computer and it worked again with no further changes. Since then it has been spo...

Can you use ibike file to figure out if a wheel was rubbing?
In April I raced the Tour of the Battenkill and didnt perform as well as I should have. During the race I felt as though there was something off with my bicycle. I found later when cleaning the bike that the 25s I has installed for the tough terrain were rubbing the brake bridge. They did not rub be...

Use of trainer profiles
This is not an issue exclusive to my Newton or Isaac. I had this same issue with my Gen III unit and the prior software. I set the unit to my trainer profile, the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine, pre-ride. I download the ride and check the numbers...they generally match what I recall observing from while ...

Re: At long last, the iBike Newton!
I apologize if I missed it but I did not see the answer to my first question asked above. Question 1. I do not use a DFPM or plan to. I do not use any other head unit or GPS enabled device. I do not require any of the on the fly CDA data. I only use Ibike head unit for all data. I use a Garmin combi...

I may have posted on this before, because I have had the problem for some time...forgive me if I did. My Gen III will not hold a connection with the wireless sensor. I have to reload the profile every time I want to ride and if I stop and the ibike turns off I lose the connection and it cant be foun...

Pairing issue
I have a pairing issue with my Gen III iAero and can't solve it. If the unit goes unused, either between rides or goes to sleep during a break in a ride, it loses pairing and will not recover it until I reload the profile that contains the respective sensor IDs. I then have to start pedaling, enter ...

Using Garmin and Ibike sensors with same unit
Is it possible? I use the Ibike on two bikes, but would like to be able to use it on a third. I have the wireless mount but do not have a third Garmin sensor. I do have the original iBike sensors that came with the first mount I bought. Can I use those original sensors with my Garmin enabled head un...
