Re: Cal Error 6
I see; though for a non working unit it does say 15%. However, it seems I may not need to. Not just yet anyway. I did a 40km ride a few days ago and the power figures were all to pot. But last night on my 46km ride (attached) the power readings seem to be OK now. While I'm well past my prime and rel...

Re: Cal Error 6
Trade in gets me the same discount as the current sale price. I think I'll use it a few more times and see if it sorts itself out. If not, I'm resigned to some pedals. Have loved the iBike products over the last 9 years that I've used them but time for something simple and reliable! You'll get 30% o...

It's been sat in a drawer since I last used it without any problems. Could a mouse have made a nest in there?
Any suggestions on fixing it or has my device reached the end of it's useful life?

Re: Cal Error 6
Cleared it down again and added a new device into Isaac without he "better" option so no cal ride needed. Attached is 6K ride where power seemed to be about 100Watts under reading so spells where I was pedalling showing as zero. It seemed to sort itself out towards the end. No drafting, fi...

Older ride file as requested.
I'll try and reset the device today and choose the option for accuracy that doesn't need a cal ride.

Cal Error 6
Hello I'm trying to complete a CAL ride after a full reset of my Newton and it just says "Cal Error - See Isaac" with a number "6" after each. I've tried this twice before a full reset and twice after, all with the same result. My SPD/CAD is an iBike unit and seems to give accura...

RIP Newton?
Hello Is the Newton now defunkt? I can't see it for sale in your shop. I have a Newton 5 which I still use and wondered how long support for this will continue? Will firmware updates still be released? Also, the manual seems rather out of date and I can't see what options my serial has installed. (X...

Re: Start of ride wrong.
That's pretty much what I thought but the question is why? Same bike, same profile, same mount as my last ride which was all completely OK. Is there no way of taking the tilt from later in the ride and applying it to the first 8 minutes? Do I need to ride around for 8 minutes before I go on a ride t...

If I do a repair ride for bad tilt the wattage goes through the roof and would make Sir Hoy jealous.

Start of ride wrong.
Hello all On today's ride I had a "stuck on scan" type of problem but have emailed support about that. After doing so, I thought I'd plug in the Newton and see if it recorded anything despite having nothing on the display for my 1 hour ride and behold - I had a data file. However, the firs...

So, could someone outline the recommended procedure please?
Do you perhaps Velcro your crank arm to the left chain-stay and leave it like that until you have the Newton woken up and are ready to ride. Wouldn't carrying the bike out of the shed wake it up and would that matter?

Re: Garmin Epix FIT
Thanks. I perhaps didn't word my request properly. I really don't want to spend any more time importing, merging or transferring files. I seem to spend 20 minutes sorting out the data after a 40 minute ride. What I should have asked is when Isaac is going to support the latest incarnation of FIT fil...

Hello
Isaac seems to be struggling to merge the FIT files from my Garmin Epix. Does anyone know how to get around this or when Isaac will support them please?
Cheers

Re: Battery level
Well, it seems I'm unable to do a hard reset (press/hold left+right+down+centre). I've even used a flat object to press them all at the same time to no avail.
Could it be that my "left arrow" button isn't working?

Really sorry for the delay in replying - I was waiting for an email notification that didn't arrive.
My firmware is 5.02.
Pressing the left arrow, either briefly or for a few seconds does absolutely nothing.

Battery level
Hello The instructions say to press the left arrow to see the battery level. On my up to date Newton this button appears to do nothing. Given the unit's propensity to lose charge if not used for a while I really would like to know the battery level before I depart so can only tell me how I find out ...

Wind way out
Hello Would someone be able to look at the attached file and tell me why my wind measurements are way out? I think the power is inaccurate as a result. I'm sure I held a fairly consistent power over much of the ride as I was using the gears to keep effort as consistent as possible. Here's my route :...

Re: By popular demand: Export for Strava/TrainingPeaks
Do these new menu options add stuff to the export that is specific to the Strava and TrainingPeaks files? If not, how are do they add any functionality to the current autosave of a CSV file other than add mouse clicks? What I think is needed is options in the setup to enter your credentials for thir...

Re: Newton Display
Thanks Fernando.
I had noticed the line/figure roughly correlating to power so it all makes sense.
The image is from the manual but I'll take some picture next time I'm out so I can demonstrate the others I'm not sure about.

Newton Display
Apologies if I'm not looking hard enough but is there a guide somewhere to show what the different symbols and figures that can appear on the display mean? I've read the manual several times. For example, the circle on the display presumably means "power In" from a DFPM. What do the little...

My Newton has picked up and uses my ANT+ DFPM.
However, I want to disable the power in and let the Newton work out the power itself.
Any guidance appreciated.

Re: Edge 800 replacement
For now I've settled on a Sony Erricson Experia Active which has ANT+ connectivity, any routing app I want to use, is shock and waterproof and has a lovely display. What's more it's only marginally larger than a Garmin 800. With my Jabra Sport earphones I can take calls and/or listen to music wire f...

Re: Edge 800 replacement
Thanks for that helpful reply. Alas - I've already sold the 800. I'm managing with a 910XT at the moment. This battery issue does concern me though. One of the plus points seemed to be the backup battery to supplement the iPhone but it sounds like that's not very effective. I think I'll just have to...

Re: Edge 800 replacement
Thanks John.
I'm just looking for a decent app to do routing and I'm probably going to stick with an app that I used on my Windows phone before I got the iPhone but has since been ported on account I can download segments of map in case there is no 3G service.

Re: Edge 800 replacement
I'm considering making the move to an iBike Dash in advance of routing becoming available and was just wondering if I can run another app at the same time as the iBike app to do routing, such as Google Maps, so I don't get lost.
Does anyone else do this?
TIA.
