Re: At long last, the iBike Newton!
Does the iBike Newton twist on just as the ibikeIII does? If it does could I just take the battery out and use the stem mount since the wireless senors are now in the new iBike Newton? I already have it set up and would prefer to keep it mounted on the stem. I don't really like the new steerer mount...

Re: Batteries
You might have a bad mount. Put a new battery in the mount and test it to see what your voltage is then in a couple days check it again to see if it is being drained or not(ith your volt meter) I had a mount go bad and also keep getting WLS not found becasue it was draining my battery in the mount a...

Re: Fit Train intervals
Yeah I checked that and even changed it to see if I could get to a level that had the 3 intervals but the preprogrammed intervals are solely based on what your ftp is from your 20 min fitness test results. You can't change your watts per kg manually so even if you change your ftp in the software and...

Re: Ipod touch gen3 Memory?
One more quick question. I've noticed that some of the ipods are listed as a 2nd/3rd gen. and the ibike dash will require a 3rd gen. ipod. If the OS is 3.1 will it work on a 2nd/3rd gen. ipod?

Ipod touch gen3 Memory?
This may be a stupid question but does it matter how much memory you have in the ipod touch gen3 (8g,16g,32g etc...) if I'm going to use it solely for a bike computer w/power? I'm not interested in the gps, mapping, phone etc.. so I was thinking of just getting an ipod touch and using it for my cyclin...

Re: Wireless Mount Defective?
Easiest way is to put your ibike computer on the mount-go into the set up- go to the battery volt screen and see if you volts go up. If they don't go up then your mount is not working. You should always get a little boost of voltage from the wireless mount. I had a mount go bad and it actually pulle...

You need the iaero or the iareo upgrade to your ipro for it to see another DFPM and I'm almost positive that it has to be wireless.

Re: iSport and Battery life -bad after 5 hours
I actually had the same problem and it was the wireless mount. It would drain the battery in the mount and the unit within a 1/2 a day when I used it. On a day that I didn't ride the mount battery, which was brand new, would be completely dead by the next day and the iBike computer was still good. I...

Re: Would a new case require new calibration?
I know that when I had mine repaired for a cracked case that I did have to do new cali. and coastdowns because my old profiles weren't giving me the same consistent numbers as before. If I were you I would redo it and get a new profile to make sure that you have the correct numbers becuase I know mi...

Fit Train intervals
Ok this may be a stupid question but when I go into fit train and select strength I'm only seeing levels 0 and 1. I have printed out all the pre programed levels with the times and % of my FTP that I should be using in each type of interval-being fat, cardio & strength. Coachboyd had it posted t...

Re: 2 Bikes, 1 Profile
To change your windscaling, aero...etc. and apply it to that ride you'll need to go in tools and use the first selection which is select profile after ride and it will give you the option to choose between the profiles you've set up in your profile tab. If you don't have the profile numbers that you...

I've also got two bikes that are set up with the same measurements (both Specialized Tarmacs but different year models) and the wind scaling and aero are almost the same but with the two profiles avalible on the Bike I think you should do the calibration and coast downs and make it as accurate as po...

Re: External Battery Question
OK I've tested the rechargeable batteries but only in the wireless mount not in the unit because I didn't want to take a chance on frying the computer! The voltage is higher at 3.6v (actually 3.7 to 3.8 when fully charged) for the 2032 rechargeable batteries you can buy online,as I had been told by ...

Well it looks like it read your wind for the entire ride and when I went into tools and looked at the analyze wind screen it looked pretty good nothing really out of the ordinary, but when I looked at your analyze power screen I noticed you had 9 power spikes over a 1000 watts and the after data was...

Hey just leave the battery in the bar and clip your wires with enough wiring hanging out to splice them back. I have a wireless setup which uses more juice than the wired to work. I had a similar issue and it ended up being that the wireless mount was faulty. I purchased a second mount, not cheap but worth it,then returned the bad mount and it was taken care of under warranty and didn't have to go without using my ibike.I'm not sure if you have a wireless mount but it's just a...

I'm guessing it's a firewall because everything else is working fine. I'm not sure how to disable a firewall, I know just enough about a computer to ...

Re: Trainer Mode Cuts Off When On The Trainer
The trainer mode kicks off at 8 mph wind speed if I'm not mistaken so ny best guess is that it's picking it up. It would be worth trying a trainer ride with the fan at different speeds to see if that's your issue. If not I'm sure John H. or Aaron T. would help you get the issue resolved. I'm sure yo...

Re: Trainer Mode Cuts Off When On The Trainer
If you are using a fan to keep cool the ibike may be picking the wind up and turning the trainer mode off or possibly the mount or the mount battery is bad. I had a similar issue and it ended up being a bad mount which velocomp replaced under warranty and was very quick with the shipment. Hope this ...

Re: How do you Pause?
That will affect your avg. power number just like coasting down a hill will but that's one of the reasons why they have NP (Normilized Power)as a feature on the ibike and the software so it will take all the coasting out of your power avg. Probably not the answer you were looking for but thought I'd...

Re: Fit Test or Weight Test?
IMO the power to weight ratio is more for establishing the training range the person needs to train in so they know where they stand and what p/w ratio they're trying to reach. We all know that the lighter rider will climb better than the heavier rider but on a flat windy road the lighter rider will...

Re: Feedback from Forum, Please
Jpakk, From experience if you have a handler mount the wind scaling is higher than a stem mount so if it's a stem mount it seems kind of high but if it's handlebar mount it can vary from 1.1 to 3.0 or higher. Ultimately Coachboyd is the man that will get you where you need to be but it looks as if y...

Re: Wireless failure after changing battery in iPro.
Howard, I had a similar problem with a mount ,that for some reason, would kill the battery in 2 days without even being used. Luckily mine was still under warranty but if your mount is using up the battery it will need to be repalced because there is no fix for this problem.

I'm not sure about the auto tilt but I check mine once a week because it can get a little out of wack but the answer to your 2nd question is on this link http://www.ibikeforum.com/viewtopic.php ... 1078#p5826 and read numbers 7 through a 11 in the operation section.
