I noticed my iPro had a hairline crack a while back, but last night I noticed it's suddenly got a lot worse. (I'm wondering if the crack has been there all along as the case had marks on it when I got it - definitely not new but that's another story.) I think this could also explain rain problems where my iBike sometimes flips out and the screen fogs up. Lastly, some of the little tabs on the battery cover have broken off, on the unit itself, and on my wireless mount. I'm really not rough on my iBike, it's never been dropped, crashed or otherwise abused, and when I travel with it I put it in a hard sunglasses case to protect it. I can only think the damage has come through road vibration and jolts, and the plastic is not thick or pliant enough to absorb the impact. Hopefully in the next version the casing will be more robust and waterproof.
Are these things covered by warranty and is that 1 year?
Thanks.

Mine was, and replaced with no issues.

Perhaps the lack of response by John and Velocomp is because you have not provided the full details in order for them to make a decision as to whether the issues you have are covered by the warranty. Important information would include how long you have had the ibike; who you purchased the ibike from; whether you inspected the ibike for defects or damage when you purchased it (previous misuse), etc etc In other words when you say "the ibike is not new-but that's a different story", that is actually the story they would need to know.

Sorry, we're busy on other things right now and not paying enough attention to the forum.
Please send us your unit and we will repair it under warranty.

Thanks John. I spoke to Aaron a couple of days ago and mailed it off overnight yesterday.
Nik, thanks for your response. I guess emailing support directly is the way to go for issues like this.

Re: Case Cracked
I received my iBike with a nice new case, thanks Velocomp! My original profile still seems to be giving good numbers but I'll probably redo it after I've got bike 2 dialed in.
