All my rides have a tailwind

Post by gayeskin »

Hello,
I've tried a couple of things to try to correct the wind in all my rides. However, every ride that is recorded seems to always have a tailwind which i'm positive is not the case.

Attached is a couple of ride files and a re-calibration ride that i did.

Thanks!

I adjusted your profile manually.

Load this into your unit and you should be OK.

Thanks John! Much better now. Can you let me know where I went wrong on the calibration ride?

I can't really tell the cause of your problem.

All three ride files have the same profile numbers, so it look's like you have not actually executed an out and back cal ride.

Thanks.

Was thinking of upgrading to the PowePod and currently have the Newton+. Do you think it would be worth upgrading or just continue using the Newton I have. I'm currently at FW 4.16.

Thanks again for developing such a versatile product, I use it on my road, cross and mountain bike.

Well, you're asking me on Father's Day which kid is my favorite... :-)

But I'm a good father; I use both PowerPod and Newton on my bike, every day!

PowerPod has some firmware advancements that have not been incorporated into Newton, but if you're comfortable with the Newton screen, then right now I don't see a strong reason to change.

AeroPod is another story...
