Power spikes in CSV files not found in IBR files

Post by blp »

When I export csv file for Strava and Golden Cheetah, I often get power data anomalies that is completely inaccurate.

For example, in the attached ibr file, the max is 583W according to Isaac and in the exported csv file is is 1733W. There are 5 or 6 anomalies in the csv file.

The only adjustment I made to the ibr file is correct starting and ending elevation in Analyze Route.

This happens frequently. Why is that?

You have two speed glitches. Why? I don't know. These cause the watts glitches. You can find them by setting filtering to zero.

The simple thing to do is to edit out the glitches with the Edit command.

1) Set graph filtering to zero

2) Set scale to the minimum amount (2 min, or 1 mile/KM)

3) scroll to the place where the blip is

4) highlight the blip with your cursor. The area will be highlighted in blue

5) Use the command "File/Combine-Split/Delete Selection"
