Mounting options

Post by djaustin »

John,
for mounting, and testing for time trialling, would it be possible to have a mount that is independent of the bars? We often are moving extensions, swapping stems, etc... so this will need the inclination calibration each time.
A mount such as a spacer that movers the pod out in front of the steerer tube would be ideal. Found a few examples for 3D printing and the Minoura headset spacer. Since most bikes have a very clean front end, cabling will not be a problem.

Here's one for 3D printing, which I doubt is rigid enough.

I think this would add immense value to the product, removing dead time during a testing session. For testing non bike stuff like shoes, it won't matter, nor for racing.

Raceware in the UK make these kind of things all the time. I have one of their garmin mounts for my Giant aerobars on my road race bike.
