PPv3 how to turn on now?

Post by Biff »

Yesterday, 3 hours before my ride, I hook up my PP to charge and download rides and it eventually says there's a FW update available. I do that and it successfully installs. I unplug, put my bike in the truck and head out.
I get to the ride and PP won't turn on. Pressing and holding for up to a count of 25 does nothing. 5 presses does nothing. Nothing turns it on.

This morning, I plug it back in, Isaac loads normally, I download the current profile and that works yet when I unplug, the green light blinks about 4-5 times and then it won't turn on again. WTF
I, of course, have a big ride tomorrow and was relying on having power. dammit.

Hmm...press-hold button for 12 seconds. You'll see the light go out briefly, then start flashing again. Release the button; this does a hard reset of the device.

Try a short ride afterwards; hopefully things will be OK. Let me know...

Please email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for next steps. This is likely an easy thing to correct.

Yep, it was easy.
It was the 'ol button misalignment thing. I had sent this PP back to Tom before and he fixed my button and I assumed that was a one and done fix but somehow it happened again. He sent a video showing how to take the PP apart and fix it. Took me about 4 minutes. All set.
Thanks once again PP!
