Correcting Profiles after Ride

Post by viniga »

Hi John,

I wanted to adjust the weight used for one of my rides. I amended the profiles and the weight change saved. I then used the 'Switch Profile After-the-Fact" feature to apply it to a recent ride. At this point I noticed that the reported "Original Aero" profile did not match that of the TT bike I used. In the attached image you can see the CdA value in the ride stats is 0.264 which is correct for the TT bike.

This has confused me a bit. I think the profile that PP used did switch correctly to the TT bike other wise the CdA reported would have matched that of my roadbike but this information is making me doubt it. I am also worried that if I apply this change then it will apply incorrect values for aero.

Can you help me clear this up please.

Thanks,

Vince

I looked at your ride file.

The numbers in your ride file are correct. I don't know where the "TT bike Prof 2" comes from, but it is not the same profile as used in the ride.

It was the profile I created just before the calibration ride for the TT bike. It was the second profile I created. Examining it I note that it does not have the note text "Isaac setup + cal ride completed" and n the advanced tab the Tilt Cal is 'empty'.

Not sure if that helps.

I have extracted a profile from the IBR file and I'll use that.
