calibration check

Post by robo »

I did a good cal.ride out and back. When I check calibration of my rides it gives a (great) deviation (orange/red area) and suggests to make adjustments in the profile.
Can someone please look at the files if my calibration is good ?

Calibration check is only accurate when there is consistent wind and no drafting. You have a section of ride in the middle where there is significant tailwind/drafting.

I think you are OK and I would not adjust the profile.

Would the check calibration be appropriate when there's a strong tailwind for half the ride and a strong headwind for the return part.

I've run check calibration and the speed and wind speed now look more realistic.

I've attached the amended file. The wind was from the South/South East.

Thanks.

There's lots of wind in your ride file, but your unit is well-calibrated and the ride file is OK.

Thanks John,

Wind speed was averaging around 14-15mph as both a tail wind on the ride out and headwind on the ride back.

This ties in almost exactly with the average shown in the advanced stats.
