Race plate with Powerpod

Post by Scurby2 »

Got a long distance mtb race tomorrow, race number plate covers the powerpod..if I move PP mount to right/left bar is too narrow to clamp, I guess I could wrap duct tape/old intertube or something). Any suggestions?

Try to build up as much thickness as possible with stiff materials, perhaps the adapter ring that came with your Garmin bike computer...(your local bike shop might have something similar)

Whatever solution you try, make sure PP cannot rotate on the handlebars!

After moving PP, make sure to do a new O&B calibration ride.

Thanks. I ended up using an old tire tube. Cut 1 inch wide and wrapped a couple feet and installed the mount kn it. It seems secure and tight. Glad I put my plate on today rather than tomorrow at the venue.
