does anyone know if the most recent firmware update stops the powerpod from going to sleep and ending a ride after 20 mins
No, that feature is unchanged. If PowerPod never goes to sleep its battery will die.
If your long rides are splitting into smaller rides, you can append successive files to the first file of the ride using an Isaac command
