optimum angle of wind port

Post by mote1999 »

Hi,

I set PP according to what I has read, try to make the marking on the body parallel to the ground. after calibration (5 min) I got low watt show on my unit (0-30).
I tried to tilt PP up so wind port is catching more wind, the reading was vary with the angle (more wide - more watt) which I think is reasonable.
I tilt it back to parallel again it show no to low watt again.

I believed that I could do any angle while calibration, and I must keep it fixed at that angle through out the ride. If this right, Could I just tilt PP so it catch more wind from the start since parallel setup didn't work for me?

Thanks

When you change the angle of PP, its watts will be significantly affected, because you've altered the tilt sensor calibration.

Please follow the instructions:

1) mount your PP so the word "PowerPod" is approximately level to the ground beneath it

2) Press gently on the PP button, until the PP tabs hit the mount stop. Then, tighten the mount screw so that PP cannot rotate.

3) Use Isaac to set PP to "out and back" calibration mode

4) do the O&B ride

5) Whenever you remove PP, after reattaching it follow step 2, so that PP is tightly mounted at the same angle.
