fat bike setup

Post by flahutewannabe »

[Haven't been on the forum for a while, but finally ready to set up my fat bike. Several questions:

1. from the threads I've read, looks like I simply choose an unused profile and do an O&B ride, then post the file for tweaking by the good folks here (aka velocomp?)
2. Looks to be fairly windy here for a while; mid-week next week before winds drop below 12-15 mph. Is is appropriate to do the O&B in those conditions, or am I better off waiting until things settle down a bit more?
3. Will be riding with pogies/mitss, which have a lot of frontal area. I assume the calibration accommodates that and will deliver consistent results as long as I'm using them?
4. Finally, riding 26" 3.8" Surly Nate tires (yes, I know they're yesterday's news and not really fat like the 5-inchers of today). Should I be tuning any settings for that prior to the O&B?

Thanks!
