Calibration Mode - Steady Yellow - count 1 to 100

Post by fserrajana »

Hello.

Can't get the powerpod enter into Calibration Mode. I've done this steps no success:

1. Full Erase and reset factory setting.
2. Setup the cal ride, Best Accuracy
3. Pair sensors --> OK
4. Go out, wakeup powerpod, steady yellow light, and start a countup from 1W to 100W, if i stop power goes 0W the i continue and count goes on, after reaching 100W, starts to show power.

Second try:
1. Erase all data rides.
2. Setup cal ride Best Accuracy
3. Go out, wakeup powerpod, steady yellow light, and start a countup from 1W to 100W, if i stop power goes 0W the i continue and count goes on, after reaching 100W, starts to show power.

What can be wrong?

Thanks.

Hmm...it sounds like your PowerPod is not being set to out-and-back calibration.

Please do the following:

1) Connect PP to Isaac

2) Go to Device/Setup/Reset Profile-Device

3) I'm assuming you're on profile 1. Reset Profile 1

4) Now, go through Device/Setup and set up your PP for Best Accuracy

5) You will need to do a new sensor pairing

6) After pairing click the button. The light should be solid yellow

7) After you start riding the light should flash red/green, indicating that it is "armed" for the o&b ride

8) Start riding. The watts should slowly climb to 50 and the light will flash yellow

9) Maintain a riding speed of at least 10 mph. This is important, particularly if you're riding uphill

10) At the turnaround point the light should go solid red

11) Slow down, stop, turn around. The light should flash blinking yellow until the cal ride ends, watts go to 100, and light goes out

OK, i will do, but i don't "see" any difference in what i've being doing, up to point 6. There i have the problem i go out press the button, steady yellow and the count 1, 2, etc starts immediately...

Done, same result. Steady yellow, count starts 1.. 100
Here is the file of the ride. *The file of the ride starts on 1 and almost ends on the same point on 100W, on 50W i turn back, no because it was a cal ride, because i'm getting frustrated.

*More Info, i set to best accuracy and it's the same.

Can be that my speed sensor is on the backwheel?

Can we go back with the firmware update?

Regards,
Felipe.

Please post a photo showing how your PP is mounted on your bike. Side view is best

Your PP may be pointed too high.

Please reposition your mount so that the word "PowerPod" is approximately level (+/- 20 degrees).

Then, reset the unit and do a new calibration.

Please post the ride file

Now works perfect, why it was in that position, because of the video, i've push it from back util it doesn't move.

So finally the solution for this is always align the powerpod printed letters to ground level with 20 degrees more or less.

Here are the files, preride, calride and postride. The calride has about 10 meters of cobblestones up and down. rest was perfect asphalt.

Thanks a lot John. Can you take a look of the calride file?

FElipe
