PowerPod not working

Hi,
I took a break of around 4-5 weeks from cycling. Now when I plug charging cable to Powerpod, red light is not displayed. I thought that unit would be fully charged and went ahead with ride. Unfortunately pressing the button didn't trigger any light and powerpod didn't work at all. When I came back, I connected the unit back to charging cable, solid red light came on (no flashing) for 5-10 secs and then went off. I tried pressing the button and flashing green light did come on. But when I remove cable and press button, then no light and powerpod doesn't switch on.
BTW isaac is able to communicate with powerpod as I was able to reset the device from Isaac.
What could be the problem - Do I need to replace battery or you think device is deactivated?
