CdA analysis

Post by jsoft »

I've been using PP as a main PM for my wife and was reasonably happy with it. However when I'm trying to use it along with DFPM, I'm not sure about CdA values it gives me (through CdA analysis). Please see file attached: I've tried doing "aero check ride" few times - on different days - and it seems I'm consistently getting similar number (~0.17) which seems just way too low. Please advice

You are getting a lot of speed sensor dropouts. What kind of sensor are you using? Where is it mounted?

Yeah...we are finding that the Wahoo sensors produce a lot of speed data dropouts. I would get a Garmin sensor; it produces much better speed readings.

OK, I will try different sensor, but do you think that's what causing extremely low CdA results? Does my profile / calibration look fine? Anything else? Thanks!

You should use the "Check Calibration" feature to get CdA from your DFPM.

However, until you have good data, I would not proceed with this analysis.
