Now that everything works on both bikes, I was wondering how important it is for everything to be configured "just right". The big thing is weight. How close is close enough? I know how much my bike and gear all weigh together. I know how much I weigh, how much my shoes and kit weigh. But obviously personal weight varies day to day. If I have 3 bottles of water with me on a ride (TT bike anyway), do I want that as part of my overall bike weight calculation? Over the summer I personally will lose 3 - 4 lbs from sweating during a ride and go from full water to no water. I'd guess that's several pounds of weight swinging.
Of course I live in very flat New Orleans so I would imagine that other than accelerating, weight isn't a major factor. Currently I have my weight entered and my bike's weight. I don't have any other gear added into the total. Should I or does it not matter enough?
