Commuter profile
Commuter profile
I do a lot of commuting. Sometimes just in race gear - but sometimes also with a 10 ltr rucksack on my back which must influence CdA causing the reported power numbers to be too low. So I was thinking of creating a profile for that situation. Any ideas of what additional drag I should count in? My current roadbike CdA is set to 0,369 m2.
Re: Commuter profile
How fast do you ride on your commutes? Are there hills or is it flat?
Depending on your answers it may not be worth messing with the CdA value.

Re: Commuter profile
It is rather flat - no hills and you have to look close to identify just a small slope - 22 km each way. Average speed is in the area of 30 km/h +- 2 - sometimes it's rather windy. There are 49(!) traffic lights which is a great motivation for sprint intervals
Re: Commuter profile
I would not make the minor adjustment for your backpack. It won't change things enough for you to really notice, especially if you're doing sprints.

Thanks - I will then just leave it as it is.
