Merging multiple ride files

I went on a very long ride - which went for about 12 hours in total. During that ride there were multiple lengthy stops, so I ended up with about 4 separate ride files - due to PP auto powering off and then me restarting it.

For my first time, I used ISAAC to merge all 4 ride files (fairly easy and straight forward) - starting with the FIRST ride file by timestamp. After I had merged all four, I assume the original - ie. first ride file becomes the combined master ride file. Is that correct? Should I then just delete the subsequent 3 other files, and just keep the ONE master file? (Assuming I no longer need them?)

Yes, as you merge files, the first file (to which all others are appended) becomes longer.

After you save the merged file then you can delete the others.
