PP unexpectedly in Indoor Trainer Mode

My last three rides were as follows:

1 - Turbo session on Bike 1 with PP Indoor Trainer Mode turned on
2 - Outdoor ride on Bike 1 with PP Indoor Trainer Mode turned off
3 - Outdoor ride on Bike 2, with no change to the PP settings

Rides 1 and 2 were fine.

However, on Ride 3, it was clear that the power readings were wrong i.e. when I was pedalling hard uphill I had very low power output, and when coasting or pedalling very lightly downhill I had superhuman high power! It remained like this for the entire ride I guessed that the device was somehow back in Indoor Trainer mode, as it was clearly not taking account of gradient. Sure enough, when I loaded the ride into Isaac, it only shows Power, Speed, and Cadence graphs, and no elevation, slope or wind speed, so I guess this proves my theory about the device being in indoor trainer mode.

As far as I'm aware, the only way to turn Indoor Trainer Mode on and off is by using Isaac. However, between Ride 2, where it was turned off, and Ride 3, I did not connect the PP to my PC at all - the only thing I changed was moving the PP from Bike 1 to Bike 2.

Have I done something wrong here procedure-wise? E.g. Is it necessary to manually disable Indoor Trainer Mode on every bike profile after having it turned on for one bike? Or is this a bug?

I've attached the ride file for Ride 3 in case it helps diagnose the problem.

Note that I just tried using Tools | Repair | Convert To Road Ride, and voila, the elevation and other graphs are now available, so it seems the data was all captured (although the wind speed somehow appears to have been a tail wind all the way :?: ), but of course it needs to have been outputting it to my Garmin during the ride!

From your description, this would appear to be a bug but I would like to do some checking.

You have posted "ride 3".

Please post ride 2 as well.

Hi John. Here's the "Ride 2" file.

These two files have different wind scaling factors but identical sensor IDs. Are you using the same speed/cadence sensor on both bikes?

Something is not right...

That is really odd! "Ride 2" was on a bike with PP mounted under the handlebar, and which has sensor ID 13872.

Today's ride, "Ride 3" was on a bike with the PP on an out-front mount, and with sensor ID 42390 (using profile 2). And the bike was well away from the Ride 2 bike at the point I powered the PP on (and the sensor ought not have been awake on the Ride 2 bike in any case)

So I think the different mounts explain the differing wind scaling factor. But the sensor IDs should definitely be different as well! Not sure where to go with this. Do you have any other ideas?

Do a new pairing for each profile, being very careful to pair your sensors to the correct profile. You'll need to make sure you don't have both bikes' sensors on at the same time. You don't want to accidentally pair the same sensors to both profiles.

OK, I'll do that. Just so I'm clear about what I need to do, if I use Isaac to set the appropriate profile in the PP, and then do the 4 second press to pair with the appropriate sensor, will that retain the other parameters in the profile without the need to do a new calibration ride on each bike?

Thanks for your help with this.
