PowerPod wont enter calibration mode

Hello - I have recently bought a new Garmin Edge 1000, Garmin Speed/Cadence magnet-less sensors, and a PowerPod. I have updated the firmware on each.

I have confirmed that the Garmin Speed sensor works, because when I pair it with the Garmin Edge on my CompuTrainer it shows speed data.

So I am now trying to get power data from my PowerPod into my Garmin Edge. I can pair my powerpod to the speed sensor fine with no issues. I can then pair my PP to my Garmin Edge 1000 no problem. However, when I go to calibrate it (by clicking on the PP button), it shows a constant green colour, as if it is already calibrated. It never shows a solid or flashing yellow and never prompts me for the calibration ride from 1 to 100W etc. When I ride I do see power data in my Garmin, but it's obviously wrong (sometimes 400W, other times 25W, both of which for my effort are wrong).

What am I doing wrong? Is there any way I can tell it to run the re-calibration? I was fooling around looking in Isaac, but didn't change any settings.
