Hi,
ive read the isaacs instructions carefully and still...have some qustions.
cda m2 : i think its the more important value an related to the "front area" (bike+my body)
wind scaling: the actual value is 4.462 (the first number in the first OB was about 2.80). Is this value "permanent" and used to do the calcuclations on each ride? Ive read that the wind scaling is "related" to the actual wind...so cant understand if this value is permanent or its "new" in each ride. Please help me to understand this value.
thank you!
ale
Aero Calcs - wind scaling
Re: Aero Calcs - wind scaling
Wind scaling is a factor that accounts for the location of your device on your bike. It remains unchanged until a new calibration ride is done.
4.46 sounds high; is your wind sensor port partially blocked?

Re: Aero Calcs - wind scaling
John, is very clear with the combo mount in the TT bike. This last OB got the 4.46... as i told you, everything is in the same place and the previous OB was 2.8.

Re: Aero Calcs - wind scaling
Please post a .ibr ride file that was made after your most recent recalibration.
It looks like you have your PP nicely located on your TT bike.

Re: Aero Calcs - wind scaling
Did you ride in a group at the beginning and end, and solo in the middle? If so, your ride file looks fine.

Re: Aero Calcs - wind scaling
Yes, sólo in the middle! You are right
But like to know and learn about the wind scaling yet Told me about the 4.46 vs the original 2.8... which is the correct number as the pp, bike , position, stem , etc etc were always the same and always in the same place.
Thank you very much

Re: Aero Calcs - wind scaling
This ride file looks fine, with your new calibration.
I don't know why it changed, but I would keep riding with what you have.
