Hello.
I have been having loads of difficulty getting the powerpod to work properly. My biggest problem seems to be it easily and often loses the signal from the speed and cadence sensors. I have used both the gsc-10 and the Giant ride sense sensors. Both are give me a hard time in keeping signal (although the giant ride sense is much better), Tomorrow I will be buying and trying out the new Garmin speed and cadence sensor hoping it will work better.
Second problem, while the giants ride sense holds the signal better, its gives awfully low power readings... Example I tried doing a 20 minute hard interval and averaged 33-34 km /hr on a looped course,,,my average power was 148 watts, does not seem right to me. When the GSC-10 work it actually gives readings that make more sense.
I wish I could upload my latest ride files ..unfortunately my memory was full and I don't have any saved ( memory was full from winter indoor trainer rides i never deleted, and I did change the setting to trainer mode off) By the way in indoor trainer mode powerpod worked just fine. Is it possible the memory full was affecting readings of my recent rides?
As I said above tomorrow I will be buying the newest Garmin sensors and hoping those will work better. I was also thinking of doing a reset on my powerpd and starting from scratch, how would I go about doing that? and is it a good idea?
Any other ideas on trouble shooting my problems ...I have tried changing batteries on sensors already.
Thanks for any help

One more thing.
I am thinking of NOT getting a cadence sensor, my logic being that the cadence sensor is just an added signal that may get dropped therefore giving a zero watt reading if powerpod sees zero cadence. Does that make any sense, any advice?

The Garmin sensor, mounted on your front hub, will work perfectly.
If you have installed Isaac software, download a .ibr file and we can diagnose things better.

Under "Reset Profile/Device" you can do that.

How do I do a factory reset using V4.0.0 of Isaac? The option for Reset Device listed above is not one of the menu options.
Re: Trying hard to get powerpod to work, need help trouble s
1) Connect your PowerPod to Isaac
2) In Isaac use the command: "Device/Setup/Reset Profile..."
3) In the new window that appears click the button "Reset Profile 1"
4) You will get a confirming message
5) Now, do a new sensor pairing and 5 minute ride
