An APS Question and maybe a suggestion

Post by cjonbike »

I have 2 Profiles on my Newton one for riding outside, and one for the trainer! They both use the same bike.

What order does the Newton look for matching ID's, to determine which profile to use?

My Newton picked a different profile yesterday than the one I had previously used!

If it does not already do this, Is there a way for when the Newton starts looking for a profile to use, it could start with the one that was last used, and if the ID's match use that one, instead of picking a different profile?
If it already does this I somehow messed up and will work on fixing me!

It is more logical for me to say, I am riding different today than the last time, I need to change the profile, than everyday when I start to ride, I need to go into setup and check which one I am using!

I would rather switch them manually!

I know this is not a usual situation!

I do Thank you for your time and help

Chris,

I am fairly sure you can turn APS off, it is off on mine.

Russ I do Thank you for your reply!

I have looked in the setup on the Newton, and in Isaac, and I have not found the way to turn it off and get it to manual mode, I most likely am just missing this obvious step! Could I get this pointed out to me! It is easy to hide something from me just put it right in front of me and I will miss it every time!

I do Thank you very much in advance

If you can't don't have access to the setup mode (hold the up arrow for a couple of seconds) then you can't change profiles.

You can Set the Active Profile in Isaac. See image below.

If you're using the same bike today as yesterday, awaken your sensor before turning on the Newton. APS should latch-on to yesterday's bike. The Newton will look first for the ID it was using last-time.

Since you are using the same sensor on two bikes, you can change profile numbers in Setup, or you can change profiles in Isaac.
