Newton power reading high?

Post by smeagolsmy »

Hi, I was wondering if you could analyze a ride file for me and see if my Newton seems to be over reading my power, I use it on two bikes, but one bike has a powertap hub. Ive recently done two calibration tests, but get the same results. My ftp is 234w, there are two rides, the short ride is before the last calibration, the longer after the last calibration, how does it look to you? thanks, Triston.

Your profile is perfectly calibrated for wind but somehow the rolling resistance got adjusted up, to a value comparable to riding in sand!

The corrected profile is attached. Load it and all should be well.

Many thanks, most of out roads here in Devon are being treated with Tar and Chippings, which is a pain, but not quite sand!
