Madone 7 Profile questions

Post by rstrom »

Hello,

Given the experience with the Cyclocross bike profile I decided that I would perform a new setup, calibration ride, and add in coast-downs for my primary road bike (a Trek Madone 7).

The numbers that I see if I switch profiles are pretty staggeringly different from the original to the new (power numbers way lower).

I am attaching the original calibration ride done on 11/14/2012 and the resulting profile.

Also attaching the calibration ride from today and the resulting profile from the coast downs (I believe that the 0 mile files attached are those coast downs).

The bike is a 2013 Trek Madone 7 using Bontrager R3 tubeless road tires (I thought that this might be useful since road tubeless clinchers are not that common).

I have also attached a ride from January 31, 2013 where I know I rode really hard in several areas but you can look at the 1.5 miles from approximately 47:10 - 50:30 (average speed 26.3 and average HR 182). Using the new profile the average watts are 250.4. Using the original profile the average watts are 364.6.

The original profile was created by answering the questions asked via Issac and then doing a 4 mile calibration ride.

Please take a look at these and let me know what you see.

If you could also please take a look at the updated questions pertaining to the Cross bike power I would appreciate it.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks much,

Robert

The ride you need to post is from the "Download Coast Down and Calibration" ride. It is in ibcd4 format

A bug has been introduced in 2.0 which prevents ibcd4m files from opening. Until the bug is repaired, we cannot comment on your file.

Is it fixed now with v2.0.1? I do not see how to open these files.

Thanks,

Hey guys, it's been about a month now. Is the software still broken?

Thanks,

Robert
