Profile May be messed up

Post by thooey »

I rode to drop off my car today, under 2 miles each way, and my power was barely showing up. Looking at the files in Isaac it looks like it's showing a lot of braking, almost the whole ride.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

What's happening is that the starting value of your Newton's "tilt offset" factor is wrong at the beginning of the ride. It takes about 7-9 minutes for this factor to correct itself; until it does, you will get incorrect watts and slope measurements.

When you've finished your bike ride, make sure to turn your Newton off. When the Newton is off the tilt offset factor won't be changed.

Whenever your Newton is on, any spinning of the rear wheel when you're not riding the bike (for example, while working on your bike in a bike stand) will cause the starting value of tilt calibration to be incorrect.

Yes, just give your Newton about 5-8 minutes to stabilize.
