iBike Newton Crashed on Paterberg

Post by ptmoman »

I was riding the "Tour of Flander" sportive on the weekend and my iBike crashed due to the vibrations of the cobbles .

The iBike required a reset to get it going again.

Please post your ride file. There is nothing in the electronics itself that should cause this.

John,
Did the file show up anything of interest?

The odd file name "0 mile" may have been caused by the reset.

It's not clear what you mean by "crashed". Did the display freeze? Did it freeze-up on the screen you are showing in the image? Did the unit reboot properly?

John,
Yes, the screen froze in the middle of the ride (on the nasty cobbles of the Paterberg) as shown.

The reboot worked fine, unit is operating normally.

Thanks for the reply. I honestly can't imagine why this happened...

Hi John,
Happened again to yesterday this time during Liege-Bastogne-Liege Challenge. Not on particularly rough ground this time. Knowing what the issue was, I was able to a hardware reset and get it working for the remainder of the ride. Not sure if it's worth sending the file to you again.

Maybe this unit has a problem, can you PM me?

Peter
