Does a lap reset IF & NP? + ibike & IM.

When I use the lap function it seems to resets average power but I am not so sure about NP and IF?

I am training for my first IM, how do other users race IM with their ibike?

I am still not sure of the best way to ensure I am consistently riding at my desired wattage. After riding for 4 hours the average power, NP and IF will not change much for any given change in my current output. Ideally I would want see my NP or IF for the last 30 minutes. It seems that NP doesn't reset with laps or intervals?
