Tip: if you ride in low light conditions (early AM or late PM) the Idash is the way to go.

It would also depend on the lighting system you use and where it is positioned. I predominantly use a helmet mounted ay up system with a narrow beam for early morning power training rides. Whilst the beam throws out light for a considerable distance the ambient light is also sufficient to casually glance down at the ibike to ensure the watts are in the correct range, without having to shine the beam on the unit.
