Newton ant pairing when spd/cad sleeps

Since the latest FW 5.15 (corrected) upgrade I have experienced the following:
* stop for break long enough that the gsc-10 goes to sleep (<5 minutes);
* the Newton displays "SPD/CD FAIL";
* I press the center button and the Newton cancels all ant device pairing.

If I do not press the center button, but merely spin the wheel, the Newton stays happy with the gsc-10.
Spinning the crank is ignored by the Newton - has to be the wheel.

If I press the center button, then in order to get the ant devices back I turn OFF the Newton and then turn ON again and it immediately finds ant devices.

Is it intended that center button press following SPD/CD FAIL cancels all ant device pairing?

Hopefully you don't have 6.12 FW in your Newton...the latest is 5.15

Yes, the Newton is looking for the speed sensor signal.

I'm not sure what pressing the center button does to the pairing sequence. Turning the unit off, then back on, forces the pairing scan to begin afresh.

I have confirmed several times that when the Newton displays the lost speed/cadence message, "SPCD Fail", if you press the center button then all Ant+ pairing is lost and all must be re-paired.

We will investigate this.
