G'day,
I am looking at the IBIKE Newton, can someone tell me
Is the Newton w/Powerstroke upgrade the same thing as Newton+ Powerstroke ?
and how would the Newton w/ Powerstroke upgrade differ to the TT version w/ Powerstroke upgrade (is it just RWS) ?
Thanks,
Matt

The upgrade is for cyclists who already own the Newton, but who would like to add PowerStroke features to it.
The Newton+PowerStroke is a complete system (power meter, sensors, software) that also includes the PowerStroke upgrade. The PowerStroke+ is the best power meter we make.
The TT version of PowerStroke adds the RWS and TT mount to the PowerStroke.

John,
When I look on the website shop under power meters it shows
Newton $499 - Powerstroke upgrade $99 (on special) - $598
Newton Powerstroke + - $699
What is the difference ?
cheers,
Matt

Well, $101...
Other than that, nothing!
Go for it...

I think that's a hint to go for the Newton with the Powerstroke upgrade that's on special

(that's the same as to what I ended up doing)

Isn't the difference the inclusion of the 'CDA Key' and also the 'indoor trainer' firmware in the Newton PowerStroke+ ?
I'm after some clarity on this in the CDA description:
"NOTE: NEWTON+ AND NEWTON POWERSTROKE+ PRODUCTS SHIP WITH THE CDA KEY PRE-INSTALLED AT THE FACTORY"
I cannot see Newton+ as a separate product* to the standard Newton model. Is it discontinued now?
* The link to "Buy a Newton+" from here is broken -

Yes, I was wondering myself. When Newton first launched, there was a Newton and a Newton+ (Powerstroke wasn't developed yet!).
The difference was larger memory size for saving ride files.
Is that still the case now, or are all Newtons on sale the same memory size?

The only products available from our website are the Newton and Newton PowerStroke. We've fixed the incorrect references to Newton+.
PowerStroke has 2X memory, among its many other other features.
