Newton 6.03 firmware (I think that's right)

Post by rstrom »

I was prompted to download and install the latest Newton firmware earlier. I went ahead and did the upgrade and then went to put the unit on my bike and turn it off. The update notes stated that the battery position was moved (I agree with that but I would have put it WAY down the line farther instead of #1) and that the IF issues were fixed.

Well I put the unit in the battery read screen and pressed the middle button and much to my surprise the unit did not turn off. I tried again, same thing.

Was up?

Thanks,

Robert

Press-hold the center button to turn things off.

Takes a good long press about two seconds or so.

OK ... I'll try that.

BTW .... that's a GOOD change. I can't tell you how many times I accidentally turned off the Newton since that feature was introduced :) :o :D
