AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I noticed that among the incentives for ordering a Newton early is the choice of the GT firmware upgrade or an additional universal handlebar mount. I thought I saw somewhere on the iBike site where the handlebar mount was described as a $50.00 value. I thought all of the electronics had been removed from the mount. Is there another reason a mount would be worth $50.00? I do have two bicycles, but I'm trying to decide which would be the greater value. If the handlebar mount costs $50.00, I'd probably like to get an extra one while it's free.

Well, how about the fact that it cost us a great amount of money to develop and tool!

This mount is less than 1/2 the price of its predecessor. That seems like a step in the right direction.

I wish innovation was free, but it is not...
