New Software and Firmware is available

Post by Velocomp »

We've made some major enhancements to Isaac and to our OS firmware:

ISAAC 2.1.3

1) Isaac 2.1.3 now fully supports the new, no-tilt calibration procedure. You'll see correct data from your cal ride
2) Also, when starting from a factory profile, after the cal ride procedure is completed, when launching Isaac you'll be prompted automatically to dial-in your profile. (As has been past practice, if you wish you can still set your basic information prior to the cal ride).
3) After Isaac 2.1.3 is installed, you can download and install firmware 4.02

OS FIRMWARE 402

1) OS 4.02 adds the ability to perform manual Tilt Calibrations. To quote from the release notes:

"Because tilt is automatically measured and adjusted during the first five minutes of each ride, manual Tilt Calibrations are not necessary and not recommended."

In our testing over the past few weeks, we determined that the automatic tilt calibration procedure is far more accurate than the original one. Why? The new procedure uses 4800 readings to determine tilt, whereas the original tilt cal procedure uses 3 points of data.

So, if you've reassembled your bike after travel, the best way to dial-in its tilt calibration is to ride your bike for 6 minutes, then do a Trip Reset

However, for users who wish to do manual tilt calibrations, the Tilt Cal procedure may be accessed under the RACR menu.

Velocomp - thanks for the new firmware 4.03 with the battery bug fix - my Newton now shows 100% at full charge rather than 25% or 59%, depending on the day. Ibike's continued improvement and support is definitely a big plus!
