I've found that the placement of these buttons on the bottom of the display panel makes it difficult to activate the buttons when sweat, water, etc. has pooled at the bottom of the display. Wiping the display off works sometimes but residual moisture often interferes as well. Additionally, wiping off the display is particularly difficult when you're at threshold and going down the road at 20+.
I would recommend that these buttons be moved to the top of the display, if possible; the Home and Map buttons engage much more reliably at their top of display position. This would at least eliminate the fluid pooling interferance issue at the bottom of the display.
