can't open gpx or csv file for merge

Post by RGA »

Hi, I'm using Isaac for Mac version 2.1.3 and I'm trying to merge data from cyclemeter with my current ride but I get the "File format not recognized" error on both a gpx and a csv file. any thoughts? I uploaded the csv file that I tried to merge.

Also, is it possible to disable that popup when you try to open a file for merge. Seems like an unnecessary step (extra click) in the process ... File > Merge Data from Another device > pop up to confirm > select file

Hmm, I've never seen this file format before. Although it has lat/lon/time I think Isaac is looking for more common file structures. What was this recorded with? Is the original file CSV or something else?

Can you export as a GPX instead of CSV??? That might do it.

This was recorded using Cyclemeter iPhone app version 9.1.3 and exported the ride as csv and gpx. I tried open the gpx version of the same ride and got the same error message, but Strava can read the same gpx file.

Hmm, I cannot upload a gpx file to this board. Says the extension gpx is not allowed. I'll rename it and give it a .txt extension and upload it. Ok, I can't upload a .txt file either.

I was able to open the GPX file in SportTracks. It consisted of six separate rides that I assume were really laps. Anyways, I combined the six into one, then exported as a TCX. I can't try the merge since I don't have the original ibr file. So here's the TCX back at you. Let me know if this works.

Hey thanks Fernando, it worked fine now. I dunno how it generated laps since I didn't click on any lap button. I'll have to look at the file closer next time.
